Hunger is one of the most extreme forms of poverty. Every day thousands die from food-related causes. Chronic undernourishment and vitamin or mineral deficiencies often lead to stunted growth, weakness, and heightened susceptibility to illness. Under nourishment not only negatively affects people’s health, but also affects their productivity, sense of hope and overall well-being. Over the past 10 years, Child Life international has developed a distribution network to assist those in need through the provision of nutritional food. Assistance is extended to families and individuals as well as to social institutions such as hospitals, orphanages, and nursing homes. Child Life International maintains a “hands on approach.” Child Life International together with its partners coordinates all aspects of the food distribution process from shipping and receiving to distribution to beneficiaries. Child Life International believes in direct interaction with program participants. We are committed to responding to their needs with the love and compassion they deserve.

Child Life International recognizes its responsibility to be good stewards of the resources made available by donors to fund the organization’s activities. Measures have been implemented to ensure that all donations received by Child Life International are utilized as intended by the donor. Child Life International is constantly seeking additional sources for food and other humanitarian aid to sustain its ongoing efforts to eradicate hunger and poverty around the world.
