If you come to Romania and drive from town to town, you will be amazed at the hundreds of newly constructed large scales homes. On the surface, our country looks like it has been reborn in the last 10 years. This is, however, just one face of the reality.
If you leave the main road, and drive deep into the villages, you will see men, women and children struggling to survive on "pennies". Sadly, it is commonplace to see children working for food, elderly ladies working in the field from down to dusk, and widows working around the clock to keep their children fed and warm.
To these families, even the simplest gift, a pair of winter boots for a child, or a warm sweater for grandm, or a little bit of money for food, brings a ray of hope into their lives.

These are the people that Child Life is reaching out to, helping with food, clothes, wood for heating and, most of all, with kindness and encouragement.
Through our network of partners, we are helping hundreds of large families with food and other necessary goods. The children of these families are the most exposed to hunger and illness due to extreme poverty.
However, Child Life has taken on the responsability to care directly for some of the most needy people. There are large families living on less than $200 per month, windows, orphans, grandmothers raising children on a little pension of $50 - $100 per month. They need our help for their daily food, they need warm clothes and shoes for the children, and need help with school supplies to be able to keep the children in school.
If you would like to stand with us on behalf of one of these families, please send an email to frankbullock@hotmail.com and we will be happy to introduce you to one needy family.
